Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge June Newsletter

Hi Everyone

We hope you’ve all been your training this month as our community continues to grow, and we welcome more people onto the mats here. It’s been brilliant to see the numbers at training, and the consistency of our members turning up week in, week out to get their sessions in and Jiu Jitsu improved - well done!

Going into June and beyond, we’re continuing to grow our offering. We’ve got our Little Champs 1 class kicking off on a Saturday, as well as the introduction of our FIRST GBF course, starting week commencing the 2nd of September.

We’re really excited to bring a women’s only Jiu Jitsu class to the Apperley Bridge area. Spread over 8 weeks, GBF gives a fantastic introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for women looking to make a start. It’s been hugely popular at our sister club (even featuring a visit from the BBC!) and we look forward to watching the programme grow here in Bradford.

Speaking of women in Jiu Jitsu, Gracie Barra Harrogate is welcoming the fantastic Sula-Mae Loewenthal to the academy on the 21st June for a GBK and Adults seminar. Sula is a no-gi World Champion and European Champion, as well as being an ADCC Trials Winner this year. This is open to the whole Gracie Barra family, with tickets open to GB Apperley Bridge members, too. Buy adults tickets here, and GBK tickets (ages 7+) here.

Don’t miss our latest catch up with Professors Lewis and Khalil, too! Head over to our YouTube channel to check out the full episode!

See you on the mats,

Team GB Apperley Bridge
