GB Apperley Bridge October Newsletter
September has been a busy month at Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge! Not only have we hosted our first women’s self defence seminar, we had our first academy social meal out at Moon Tea Chinese cafe.
October promises to be an exciting month, too. We’ll be hosting our first women’s GBF course, welcoming women brand new to Jiu Jitsu for their 8 week introduction to the sport. A big welcome to our new GBF members, and we’re really looking forward to seeing you on the mats soon!
GB Apperley Bridge September Newsletter 2024
September has been a busy month so far - a big shout out to William and Jools who headed to the Empire Grappling South Yorkshire Open to test their skills outside of the academy. A big well done from everyone at Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge!
Next month, we’ve got our first GBF programme starting on the week commencing 7th of October. This women-s only, 8 week programme is a fantastic introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a small group environment. If you know anyone who would like to attend, ask them to drop us a message or head to our website for more information. Please note some timetable amends: No gi will move to 7.30pm on Tuesday, and GBF will take place on a Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm.
GB Apperley Bridge Self Defence Seminar Ahead of Domestic Violence Awareness Month
In an effort to build confidence for women of all ages across Apperley Bridge, Calverley, Yeadon, Rawdon and beyond, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge is running a free women’s self defence seminar at their purpose built facility on the 21st of September.
Gracie Barra Apperley Bridge June Newsletter
Going into June and beyond, we’re continuing to grow our offering. We’ve got our Little Champs 1 class kicking off on a Saturday, as well as the introduction of our FIRST GBF course, starting week commencing the 2nd of September.
We’re really excited to bring a women’s only Jiu Jitsu class to the Apperley Bridge area. Spread over 8 weeks, GBF gives a fantastic introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for women looking to make a start. It’s been hugely popular at our sister club (even featuring a visit from the BBC!) and we look forward to watching the programme grow here in Bradford.
