Welcome to our November newsletter - we’re really excited to share with you some awesome up and coming events for your calendar!
First up, we’ve got our GB Harrogate x GB Apperley Bridge Interclub taking place on the 23rd of November, starting at 9.30am! If you’re looking for a match in relaxed setting - look no further! We’ll be heading over to GB Apperley Bridge for what promises to be a really fun and friendly day! If you or your child are interested in a match against someone of a similar rank and weight - fill in our form and we’ll do our best to find you a match!
In December, we’ll also be welcoming Professor Victor Estima to the academy for an unmissable Winter Gathering Seminar! He’ll be coming in on Friday the 6th of December, with seminars available for both kids and adults - see more details on timings and pricing below.
We’ll be heading to Jayrock Juices after classes finish on Saturday the 9th of November as a mini club social. Come and join us for some acai, breakfast and chats!

GB Harrogate x GB Apperley Bridge Interclub: 23rd November
As mentioned above, we’re really excited to be hosting our first inter-club competition over at GB Apperley Bridge! We’ll be kicking off at 9.30am on Saturday the 23rd, with matches set for all age groups from Little Champs 1 and above! If you or your child is interested in a match, please fill out our form, and we’ll do our best to find you an opponent that matches your rank and weight.
Professor Victor Estima Winter Gathering and Grading: Friday 6th December
We're very excited to be welcoming Victor Estima to the academy for our winter gathering seminar and grading on the 6th of December. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from Professor Victor - a Gracie Barra Europe leader - and the professor of our very own professors - Lewis and Khalil!
His experience speaks for itself - an IBJJF European and World Champion, 2nd place of the Abu Dhabi World Pro, and multi-time third place finisher in the IBJJF World and European Championships.
Outside of competition, Victor Estima is one of the biggest names in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a coach competitors and casual learners love to learn from - his seminars are always brilliant and aren't to be missed!
We'll be running both kids (for children ages 6 and above) and adult seminars (GBKs aged 13+ are welcome to attend!). Our GBK seminar will start at 10:00am until 11:00am, with spaces available for £20. This will then be followed by our adults seminar from 11.30am until 1.30pm - spaces are available for £40 per person.

Jayrock Juices Mini Social: Saturday 9th of November
Come and join us up the street at Jayrock Juices on Saturday 9th of November after our morning classes are wrapped up! Enjoy a nutritious breakfast and a lovely chat with us - all members are welcome, See you there!
November Plank Challenge
Calling all Little Champs 2 and Junior and Teens! Join us for our plank challenge this November! We’re challenging you to record how long you can hold the plank position at the start of the month, and test yourself again at the end! Gets lots of practice in in-between and you should see that time increase! Let us know how you get on.
